Individual volunteers are required to help deliver Operation Red Nose to the City of Prince George. We are looking for volunteers to drive, navigate and operate phones at Operation Red Nose Headquarters.

Driver Teams are comprised of 3 volunteers: the driver of the client vehic
le, the navigator to support the driver and the driver of the escort vehicle. On average, 10-20 teams will be on call each evening and will be fed, entertained and well looked after. Find a couple of friends or we'll find you a team.

Be part of a fun evening and contribute to road safety!

How volunteering with Operation Red Nose works…

  • The earlier we receive your application the more choices you’ll have for the dates you prefer.
  • After Nov 14th, we’ll fill in the date/dates where needed on a “first come, first served” basis.
  • Individual volunteers or groups are welcome as our Coordinators will form teams of three.
  • We encourage “teams” so if your company or group is interested we’ll work with you to make arrangements
  • A committee member will call you to confirm your date/dates
  • Volunteers meet at our headquarters (ICBC Claims Centre on 15th Ave) on nights of operation to enjoy  some food, training and conversation with the other volunteers.
  • Be sure to have your valid Drivers License with you!
  • All training and information about the program will be provided when you first arrive.
  • Coffee, refreshments and snacks are made available to working volunteers - please help yourself!
  • Teams are dispatched as requests for rides are received.
  • Once the team meets the client, the Designated Driver and the Navigator will drive the client(s) in their own  vehicle with the Escort Driver following behind.
  • After reaching the requested destination, the team is reunited and the Navigator contacts Dispatch via an ORN Cell Phone or Radio for the team’s next ride. Call Karen (volunteer coordinator), at 250-961-6465 for further information
